I can’t recommend these guys enough! We have a one year old chocolate lab. Her ADHD was out of control. We took her to... Texas Duck Dogs for behavioral training and she came back a different dog. She still has her energy and spirit that she did but she listens and actually minds her commands that she was taught. We no longer have the thoughts of what are we going to do with this dog and how are we going to survive this. We just enjoy her with our family now. Thank your Wade and Garrett so much! I was nervous to send him off, but blown away by the... quality of the facility, very well thought out and planned training schedule and communication. We just picked up our girl Sadie from Texas Duck Dogs after 8 weeks of Obedience training. We are completely amazed at... the transformation she has made. She’s a stubborn girl and they worked all of that out of her. We noticed on our way home that she no longer barked at random people which was a huge problem for us. Wade asked that I give him 5... minutes to work my dog and see if he thought he could “fix” her....3 minutes in he said “ you have a great dog here, I can work with her.” Next week is opening day and my pup is ready to go! Thanks Wade!Update****** 01/26/2020 Above was my recommendation a week before the 2019 season opener! Wade and his team could not have done a better job with my pup! Honesty and integrity is what you will get from Wade. The first thing he will tell you is “ you will get out of your dog what you put into it” Today was the last day of the 2019 season. My dog got better and better with each hunt! We put a lot of work in this year. Today she brought back doubles and triples to hand and retrieved based on marking the down birds and remembering where they fell. All in all we harvested over 200 birds this year Hope and Coy ( another 1st season dog trained by TDD, owned by Daniel Koberna) retrieved every single bird we took down! Sent my crazy rambunctious 1 year old GSP to Wade and his fabulous staff at Texas Duck Dog’s for basic obedience... training. After 2 long months she is back home and doing great. I can walk her anywhere without a leash and she is great in the house. Best part of all she will actually sit and stay for pictures. I will be sending all of my dogs to them. My good boy Doc was trained by Wade and the Texas Duck Dogs crew and I couldn't be more pleased with how Doc has really... grasped hunting and genuinely loves being in the field, I truly believe that better job could not have been done! I took videos of the training session on the final day Doc was in the kennel, the day I picked him up. Every now and then i'll watch them and once you hear Wades voice and Doc perks up and tails a wagging. You can see he builds a relationship/ bond with your dog from the start and it sure is an assuring feeling when leaving your pup for longer than usual time periods! I highly recommend!read more

I wish I could give Texas Duck Dogs 10 stars. I would not have another hunting dog without Wade Cashion training it. ... When I brought my Golden/Lab, Kate in to meet Wade she did not have a lot of drive. She is a very laid back dog who is extremely loyal. She loves to swim and would retrieve dummies but had no interest in real birds. Wade's training gave her discipline and drive. My family hit the jackpot with our yellow lab "Lucky" that came from Texas Duck Dogs. We celebrated on Saturday Lucky's... one year birthday and also the achievement of passing all his HRC Started Hunting Tests. Lucky has an unbelievable strong drive on land and water; he is a retrieving machine who absolutely loves to get those birds. I took my pup to Wade at 7 months for the beginner hunter program in order to have her started for this hunting season.... Wade and Alec did a phenomenal job with her. Teal was the first dog I ever had so it was a learning curve for me when we got this high energy puppy. But after two... months in Texas Duck Dog's training program, she is so well behaved, responsive and tons of fun. Wade and Team do a fantastic job in training as well when we leave her there to board. We tried another place, when Wade was full, and Teal was basically penned the entire time. You won't find a better trainer! I'm picking up my 11 month old boykin spaniel next week, as he is finishing the... 4-month Basic Hunter Program at Texas Duck Dogs. To say I am impressed with his progress over the past 4 months is an understatement! Our little guy was full of wild energy that needed to be harnessed. He went from flopping around biting the leash to taking walks in the neighborhood with no leash at all! I began working with him since day 1 and instilled some basic hunting and obedience training, but what transformed once he began his professional training at TDD's was exponential. Wade did just that and took him further than I ever imagined. Looking forward to bringing our little guy home next week and bringing him back next year for advanced training. Take advantage of the recommended 1 on 1 sessions each month to see the progress yourself. Cannot say enough positive things about this place.
